With a population of over 20,000 residents, Clifton in Bristol certainly isn’t sparsely populated by anyone’s standards. As it’s so close to the coast it also sees a rapid influx of visitors from the surrounding areas (and from the other side of the United Kingdom), all of which are hoping to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts!
What types of activities will you find in this suburb?
This region was one of the first in Bristol to undergo the extensive and modern changes that the west of England experienced just a few decades ago. That’s been great news for the commercial properties in the area, as they are now easier to get to than ever before. The local authority even installed a suspension bridge to act as a crossing over the local river.
Nowadays, this region is often frequented by visitors wanting to take advantage of the affordable retail outlets and the vast range of activities to take part in. A trip for a day can often leave the visitor longing for more – and this is why so much is being invested into the region to ensure that it enjoys the tourist trade for years to come.
But what about the beauty salons?
Now, here’s where things get really interesting. Did you know that this region actually plays host to some of the most highly qualified beauticians, hair stylists and laser experts in the county? Why is this you ask? Well, it could have something to do with the local educational institutes. They have helped to churn out thousands of superiorly qualified practitioners, many of which offer very fair fees in exchange for their extensive experience.
Booking therapies can be pretty easy as well, what with so many salons to choose from. I should have done this before but life gets busy. Roberto lightened my hair with highlights, cut and restyled it. I had never been to Atelier before never mind to Roberto so I admit to feeling a little nervous, I mean your hair can make or break you and how you face the world! Well, I needn't have worried Roberto did the most fabulous job. It just gets better as it grows and the colour was a departure from the dark I usually have but it's fabulous. My husband, who normally doesn't comment loves my hair. Yippee. I have difficult hair in that it's so fine there is a decent amount of it but the cut has to be right for my hair not to look 'thin'. Well done Roberto you sorted it. My only regret is that I live in Mallorca so can't just pop back!! Be sure though when I'm next passing Bristol my first priority will be to check in with Roberto. It paid to take a risk. I am a very content client.
Corey is a fantastic hairdresser, I have had my hair cut by her for the last three years, she does a wonderful job creating a cut that is both stylish and holds its shape betweencuts. She makes the the whole experience so easy and enjoyable.
My favorite hairdressers ever I think. Ella is brilliant, she instinctively knows what works & what doesn't with both colour & cut, and Henry is also fab. The whole team & feel of the place is just so lovely. Free neck/back & hand/arm massage while you are having your hair done just adds the icing on the cake. Can't recommend enough.
