Bishopston, or Bishop’s Town as it was known in the past, is a very well connected region of Bristol – and one of the thirty five wards that make up the area. It is right above Ashley and so enjoys all of the advantages of connectivity such as the nearby A38, but what really sets this location apart is the fact that it is linked with a region in Tamil Nadu, India, and the nearby Bristol North Swimming Baths.
How easy is it to get about here?
Too easy, in our opinion! For some that might be a good thing, but we can think of a few times where members of our team boarded a bus in the southern part of the region and then ended up in a McDonalds without a clue. Okay, we’re exaggerating a bit here, but that only goes to show just how well the transportation services work in the area.
If you want fast food there’s plenty of outlets to choose from. There are also just as many organic restaurants and eateries. If you fancy checking out the nightlife scene, then you’ll be pleased to hear that there are plenty of bars and clubs – and for those of you that enjoy shopping, the local high street should be more than capable of seeing to your expectations.
But we know why you’re here…
For the salons! Bristol wouldn’t be Bristol if it didn’t play host to some of the countries’ most highly trained beauty therapists, cosmetic surgeons and hair stylists. That’s great news for those of you that fancy a quick treatment, or want to book an appointment in time for your visit. Just be sure to do so in advance, because if there’s one thing that we’ve noticed about the salons in this area it’s that they are very quick to allocate their slots.
The best way to see what’s available is by taking a look at our listings and getting in touch with any number of the salons that appeal to you the most. There are small ones and large ones, beauty centres and hair clinics, so if you’re anything like us you might feel spoilt for choice!
